the first-in-a-long-time green gulch farm plant sale is happening today! and tomorrow! aside from being a time to provide the public with one of the key ingredients to growing their own food–baby plants–it’s also the first real opportunity for this farm season to brush shoulders with the public. certainly not the last chance.
If you’ve come to look at this web site after attending the plant sale, thanks for coming! Please check back often for more updates from me, Sarajane, the farm manager, as well as the rest of the farm staff and apprentices. We hope to show many pictures, tell many stories, and generally relay the rollercoaster ride that is one Green Gulch Farm season. Your comments, photos, stories, and recipes are also welcome.
Happy spring!
Hello Sarajane!
Your writing is just wonderful … I have just become away of this blog and have skimmed over several posts … esp LOVE the rat story. You are so brave to sleep where rats roam.
I see you welcome recipes… so I will be happy to share some as harvest goes on!
Probably won’t be a vol this summer with you … and I do miss it, but as you know ‘life jumps’ and mine is taking a different track, with much time at City Center. BUT, I’ll be at GGF on this Sunday and through Tuesday, participating in the sewing retreat. I do hope we find a moment to connect.
Bows to your wise farm gal ways … dawna
